You can get an astronaut’s view of earth by watching the IMAX® film spectacular on a giant domed screen. Plus, there are rides like Space Shot that blasts you 180 feet in the air with 4gs of gravity!

Chattanooga has the world’s largest freshwater aquarium, which also features saltwater habitats for sea life.
You’ll wander through an incredible 60-foot canyon and two rain forests while watching 7,000 animals swim, fly and crawl in natural surroundings.
Allow about two hours for the self-guided tour. The 3-D IMAX® film on a six-story screen is a not-to-be-missed experience that will extend your visit.

Huntsville Botanical Gardens
You never know what wonderful things you will come across at the Gardens. From gorgeous flowers & plants to the Butterfly House, their feature exhibit, this is a great way to get the family outdoors for a little while. It is also connected to the Space & Rocket Center, so you can plan to spend the day at these two attractions after you’ve wrapped up shopping at Unclaimed Baggage Center.

Inspired by their surroundings on 26 acres bordering Little River Canyon National Preserve, their remote location keeps the work fresh and distilled, uncomplicated like the surrounding rock, rivers and trees, and the curves of the country roads. Sci Quest
Sci-Quest's interactive exhibits examine seven themed areas. PlayMotion®, one of the exhibits, demonstrates technology advancements as it allows visitors to interact directly with projectors to play fun and educational games designed to enhance the imagination. They can catch falling planets and learn facts about the planet, or build trees around their shadows or play beach volleyball - all on the wall of the Science Center. Sci-Quest engages it youngest visitors with the Early Childhood House. Children up to 7-years-old are introduced to basic sciences through highly interactive activities that encourage them to explore and learn. A music room introduces children to the sounds of the different types of instruments mounted on the wall, and they can dance across the piano keyboard in the floor. A scaled-down version of a kitchen allows children to use their imaginations to create a home environment while learning about nutrition. Other exhibit areas include elements of the human body, Earth sciences and electricity.

When the cave opened in July, 1959, visitors marveled at its many wonders: Stalagmite Mountain, Frozen Waterfall, Mystery River, Boulder Boulevard, the formations of the Stalagmite Forests.
But the most impressive sight of all was Goliath, the largest known stalagmite in the world. See for yourself. . . and bring your camera!

On your way to or from Chattanooga, take a tour of Ruby Falls located on historic Lookout Mountain. This is a most unusual natural wonder!
Ruby Falls is the highest (145’) underground waterfall in America. There are guided tours on paved, level walkways.
You can also get a spectacular panoramic view from Lookout Mountain Tower, so bring your camera (or get a great one at Unclaimed Baggage Center!).
There are directional billboards to Lookout Mountain all along the highways, and you’ll find it by taking exit 174 or 178 off Interstate 24.

Hallelujah Trail
This trail’s thirty-two churches stand as landmarks in North Alabama. They provide welcome and shelter for all who enter regardless of belief.
Each church is at least 100 years old, on its original site and is still holding services today. The trail winds its way through sixteen counties in North Alabama.
