May Giving Recap: Celebrating the Impact of Reclaimed For Good

-

In the month of May, our Reclaimed For Good foundation made significant strides in providing essential resources to those in need. These donations are made possible by redeeming lost items for good, turning them into meaningful support for those who need it most. Here's how the unclaimed was reclaimed for good throughout the month of May:

Supporting Foster Children

The month of May is National Foster Care Awareness month. Reclaimed For Good proudly donated 112 Love Luggage suitcases to organizations serving foster children. Love Luggage provides brightly painted suitcases, replacing the black garbage bags many foster children use to carry their belongings. These suitcases are more than just functional; they offer a sense of dignity and care. Each one is decorated with vibrant images and uplifting messages, aiming to bring a message of hope to children during challenging times.

Raising Funds for Foster Care

In addition to our suitcase donations, we hosted a silent auction, raising $600 for Fostering Love Community Closet, a local foster closet benefiting foster children and families. This initiative helps provide necessary items and support to foster families, ensuring children have what they need during transitions.

Providing Vision Care

Our commitment to giving extends beyond foster care. In May, we donated 38,400 pairs of prescription eyeglasses to The Lions Club. These eyeglasses are distributed globally to individuals in need, offering the gift of sight and significantly improving their quality of life.
