Art Stops
We were excited to get to observe some really unique art in both Iowa and Minnesota.
A Hidden gem off of Route 30 in Mount Vernon, Iowa is the American Gothic Barn. The barn sits on a private farm, whose owner commissioned a local middle-school art teacher to paint this masterpiece. The front is a giant rendition of Grant Woods classic masterpiece, "American Gothic." The sides of the barn depict the natural Iowan countryside that inspired Wood throughout his lifetime.
Then we headed to the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden!
